I went with tusk, some of my friends went with Polaris. I think the Polaris ones are better built and probably more durable, fit is pretty close in my opinion. For me, the 1,000 in savings was the better choice just based on how often I ride when it’s really cold. If you spend a lot of time riding in the cold, Polaris may be better in the long run??

Probably, yes. I priced them and didn't like what I found though.

I got Seizmik to send me some fillers. Here's the thing...

They don't work with the Lock and Ride glass windshield. They also don't work with the Seizmik mirror brackets.

So, at the end of the day I am still looking for a solution.

Im trying to locate the front filler panel for the upper dors from siezmik on their site. Im not seeing it. How did you find them thanks?

For me, I typically leave my SxS parked all winter as we are snowmobilers. This year without any ridable snow within a 12 hour drive... we will jump in the SxS and go support our typical sled stops so they will be there next year when we get snow again. So... I decided that I would throw a cab and heat in the machine in an attempt to keep the wife comfortable while we cruise around.

I had the Polaris factory uppers and factory heat on my 18' G4 and I would say that they fit OK.

Decide to try the Tusk uppers and the Ice Breaker heater on my 23' XP4.

For the little bit that I cruised around thus far, I would say that I notice little to no difference in comfort between the two. Wish that there was a temperature control adjustment in the cab like my previous Ice Breaker heaters, and my factory Polaris heater had on my 18... but whatever... it is what it is. I feel like one can be pretty easily added if we deem necessary.

Now the cost... yeah... noticed that. At over $3k to put factory heat and uppers vs around $1,300 to do the Tusk with Ice Breaker heater.

As much as I am a factory parts type of guy... on this one... I only wanted to add to this thread as I have had them both... but I would go with the Tusk uppers.

So over all fitment and clarity of tusk uppers are doable over OEM?

As far as I can say thus far... yes. They way I look at it is I can throw these doors away twice before it costs what the Polaris are.

I don't use them much so for me, the couple of times a year I might use them... they will be just fine for what I need.

Had a good test run with them this previous weekend.

Single digit temps outside at night. Teens and 20's in the day time.

Work boots, cotton socks, just a pair of jeans, long sleeve tee and a sweatshirt (put a second sweatshirt on at night) comfortable. Not hot... but definitely comfortable. The fact that even my wife said that she was comfortable the whole time as well was shocking to me as well to say the least.

As far as it sealing up "tight", I fell if you put some real effort into it, you could get the Tusk as good as the Polaris.
