I believe the relays are mounting in the block under the drivers seat next to the battery. You may want to check out some posts by Longslyde, i believe he has a thread on this exact procedure. I know for sure he has a video on YouTube on it.

I never looked to see if the General has a relay for the headlights or if it runs through the ecm. Probably still relay, Check under the drivers seat in the factory fuse panel, it should be marked there.
Couple things... if you're using the feniex strobes, make sure to set the mode where they are at half power (dimmer) for marker lights so they don't get too hot. And run whatever activation wire you make to mode 1 of the flasher so that is on only when your strobes and turn signals are not needed. I would put strobes on mode 2, and turn signals on mode 3. That way turn signals trump everything, strobes trump marker lights, and if nothing else is needed, then you have marker lights. Only issue you might run into doing that is the strobe function will run in the dim mode too. Good Luck on the project!

My thoughts about using the different modes of the Feniex flasher were the same as Longslyde described. That way I can have three functions from same light.

Wondered about the lower power mode of the leds but if they are set to low how would they change back short of reprogramming them? Perhaps if they were dual leds but don't think they come in amber/Amber. Do you think that continual usage on high would cause premature failure? I was quite surprised how small the flasher unit is. Now I don't have to move my GPS antenna.

I'm sure it would decrease life on the T6 fusions to have them on high on constant for extended periods. They get pretty hot with the 4-watt chips in them. I do know the T3 Cobra will NOT stay on in constant mode- bright. They have no mode for that. The closest mode is where they come on for about 3 seconds then turn off. And setting the individual lights to dim would mean they would stay dim all the time no matter what mode comes out of the flasher.

 

Oh Boy, I guess I have a problem as I am using the T3's for markers and T6 for the top corners. Guess the idea of marker/park lights is a no go. I don't want to lower the intensity of the lights so may have to come up with another idea. Perhaps a small round led for markers would be better. I could mount them closer to the headlights and tail lights and still get the desired effect. Can I use different modes from the flasher to multiple lights instead of just one head? Mode 1 to the small leds and modes 2&3 for the T3's and T6's? Seems every time I turn around there's more wire to sneak through the Rops frame.

 

Short answer is yes, but not without setting up relays to separate the lights from the outputs of the flasher. Mode 1, 2, and 3 will all output through the same terminals. You would have to set up a relay for the main lights and the side lights. It can be done, but a lot more wiring...


If all you want is marker lights to come on with the headlights, you could install some small round LED's where you want them and just take power from the headlight connector so they always come on when the headlights are activated. Then you can run the strobes correctly and separately since they won't be used as markers at all. Just one idea...
