I guess my age is showing...... I was just on Amazon researching sound deadener for the G2. Actually enjoy visiting with my bride while we ride. So goes life. The bike sounds good with that exhaust. Most in our riding group would ask me to stay in the back so they didn’t have to “enjoy” the exhaust note also.😀

 

Nice video work! And exhaust is cool doesn't seem loud at all.

 

I didn't really want to make it too loud since we ride a lot with groups or with the whole family on board. I've heard others that are pretty loud, but this exhaust really isn't too bad. I'm looking to improve performance with some upgrades since we are pretty loaded with people, accessories, and gear. I haven't tried it with the quiet cores yet, but it should reduce the sound level a bit. My daughter was in the front seat with me and we were able to talk and she didn't complain about it being loud. So far I'm happy with it.

 

In case you don't already know the single best mod for improving performance that I've done on mine (and I've done alot) is the gilomen ecm flash. There are some questionable recommendations on this forum but that one is something I'd stand behind and it should work well with your exhaust

 

I am definitely considering the Gilomen ECU flash. Since they ask for input on what mods you I have, I figured I would get the exhaust and upgrade the tires first. Did you use the clutch kit from Gilomen also?

 

Noticable seat of the pants horsepower gain or just more volume ?

 

Very noticeable probably 10hp and that's a 10% gain. It's not just the hp it seems to have more throttle response and his programming gets rid of some of the nuisance codes

 

Thanks for you input Marty12. I was also towards the Dalton clutch kit based on what I've read here on the forum. A few more mods to go and the General will be complete. Yeah right.

 

I installed the same one. Is there a company that writes tunes specifically for "true dual" exhausts and not just "slip on" i would imagine your airfuel chages with true dual.
