Grease Zerk location

Hey guys. I am just trying to get some routine maintenance done, and I have a couple of questions...Where are the locations of all of the grease zerks, and how many of them are there? I have found 5. The ones at each wheel. And the one at the engine for the drive line. I was wondering if there were any more that I couldn’t see. I checked the owner's manual, and it didn’t say much. I have a 2018 G4, btw.

well, let's see...and your getting this from a half-blind ol Engineer...

Front A-arms:

The upper only has a zerk on the front mounting tube.

The lower has a zerk on each of the mounting tubes.

There is a zerk on the upper ball joint and the lower ball joint (I'm taking this from my RCV Performance ball joints, can't remember on OEM)

The new style CV Joint driveshafts shouldn't have one on each the front and rear CV Joint. But I understand they have a U-joint in the center and it probably has a grease zerk.

That's all I can think of, and that's all I've been doing on my 16 General Deluxe.

Someone will tell us if I missed one or two.

I have a 2018 G4 the grease fittings I have found are: Rear Stabilizer right-left one each = 2, front stabilizer bar right-left = 2, Drive shaft off transmission 1 so I have so far found only a total of 5. Polaris abandoned the a arm grease fittings I think in 2017. If others have found more please advise us where they are. Thank you!

Page 2-12 in the service manual shows seven on the G4. two on the front stabilizer bar two on the rear stabilizer bar and three on the propshaft yokes. I am not sure if there are actually three on the prop shaft since they did the recall on them to solve the clunking noise in some units. The photo shows one in front middle and rear on the shaft.

I went out and looked at my prop shaft on the 2018 G4 and I can not find any grease fittings at the front, mid mount and rear. I believe these are all now CV joints and are sealed requiring no further lubrication. I will check with my Dealer Service Mgr to be sure. The only ones i found were the ones I mentioned previously.

Matt thanks for putting up the pictures. I have both shaft set ups in my 2018 manual and the same pictures as yours. On the Polaris parts web site my General 4 model shows both shafts, but a serial number break shows what mine has what appears to be CV Joints rear, mid mount and front. Yours must still have the mid mount bearing set up.

The ones on the rear sway bar are hardly visible as they are on the front side of the frame where they are mounted.

I recently removed my skid plate and lo and behold I found two more grease fittings on the drive shafts between the two pillow block bearings. Very difficult to find with the skid plate in place! Look for the two U Joints and you will find the two grease fittings in question!

Where in the world are the two front sway bar zerks on the 2020? I felt all around the mounting bushing and did not feel any. If you dont mind taking a picture of where they are I would greatly appreciate it. I am doing my 50Hr/500Mile maintenance right now and they seem to be eluding me the most out of everything.


Also if someone knows how in the world I am supposed to "lubricate" the steering that would be very helpful as well. I am not seeing any zerks on the steering shaft/u-joints, as well as what to use and what to lube in regards to "General Lubrication: Lubricate all fittings, pivots, cables, etc." as per the service manual?

Hello guys, I am having trouble finding any grease zerks on my 2020 Polaris ranger 1000 eps. I know this isn't the ranger forum as I have had no luck on that forum. I am new to side by sides and not very mechanical. I have read the whole owners manual and cannot find anything about grease zerks. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know much about the rangers, but maybe they are similar in their methodology. So I would read the thread above and watch this guys video and maybe it'll put you on the right track. Hope this helps!

I had assumed there were none, but had to confirm :) I may eventually remove my front sway bar, but out here we can drive them on the road, so I am not sure I want to loose the stability on the hard stuff (especially since I dont have a trailer and "drive" my machine to every trail that is not directly accessible from my house).
