Anyone running Amsoil in their rig? Have you noticed and difference in the Amsoil vs any other oil?
Thanks for input.

Oil threads create huge arguments on other forums. Oil debates are endless. I couldn't believe how many guys on the hdforum (Harley Davidson) that send their oil out for "analysis"... SMH

I use the Polaris stuff, because I just buy a kit and change everything. I know I could save money. I know that there's equal or better options. As long as there's lubricant where it's needed, I think you'll be fine using just about anything...

I'm an Ams dealer, I never push it on anyone but I have been running the ams kit with filter and the power train fluid in both my trans and front diff on my sportsman 570 since the second oil Change. It's been fine, I have 4000mi and 220hrs on it now. I change all fluids about once a year at around 60 hrs (not sure on miles) I figure cheap insurance. I just ordered me a shiny 22 xp 4 ride command two days ago pretty pumped! I'll add that there is many great oils out there not trying to start a fight. 👍

Thats more of all on somewhat newer vehicals as atf does not have the resistance as gear lube there for the epa is happy because in theory thinner oil creates better fuel millage but before all that nonsense was a thing it was gear oil
Nope, sorry, you are wrong.
The transfer cases I am talking about were from 1970's to 2000.
Borg Warner and New Process.

The NP 203 was the first chain drive transfer case used in any Dodge truck and it is spec'd for 10w 30.
The NP 205 was a gear drive and it was spec'd for gear oil.
Dodge or NP has never spec'd any chain drive transfer case for gear oil that I have ever heard of.

i run penzoil SRT oil thats formulated for the 392 challengers and hellcats that tend to get the poop ran out of them. I have cases sitting on the shelf for my challenger so no need to buy a different oil for my atvs and sxs. Ive used it in everything. I figure if mopar says its the only oil to use in a hellcat it should stand up to any abuse. Polaris just buys oil from one of the oil producers and has them bottle it in there blue bottles. Most likely it changes year to year to the cheapest bid they get. They know oil failure today is rare even with cheap oil.

lube tech may make alot of the different brands of oil but there all formulated differently. I once bought a couple jugs of lube tech branded oil at walmart. It was half what the other pure synthetics. Had a 06 silverado then. It didnt use oil. I put that oil in it and checked it at 2k and it was down almost 2 quarts. So i changed it again using the other jug i bought. Same thing happened again. I thought the motor was going south. But to make sure i bought a jug of mobil one same weight and it went 5k and was barely off the full mark. Dont really understand why but i would never use that oil again.
