Good grief, get the Polaris washer/wiper kit and you'll have all the pieces & parts you need...including the washer reservoir that fits under the hood.
Get Midwest Metal's variable wiper mod and you'll be able to use a longer wiper and get nearly180 degree sweep.

For the price they want for all of that. I don't think so...

Oh, I dunno. You're getting everything. The wiper motor, wiper arm & blade and the wiring harness. You get the washer nozzle, the washer fluid reservoir, the tubing and the reservoir.
Amazon has it for $579. Polarisparts123 asks you to call for the deal but they offer discounts.

Now I have 2011 Silverado 3500, crew cab, long bed DRW. Last Fall I screwed up, apparently, and opened the small electric rear window. It wouldn't close. The closer was $679.
A month ago, a check engine light. DEF tank heater and an EGR something or other. $1172. A few days ago another check engine light. This one is a NOx sensor $418 and won't be here
for another week.

For something I want on my General, $579...not that much for one of my Toys..

Everybody's financial situation is different.
What one person may think is reasonable, another might think it is darn expensive.

Some people can’t or don’t want to afford the PNP stuff, some people can’t make their own stuff or change their own oil….all depends. I do what I can on my own tho….and buy what I have to sometimes

I hear ya Papermaker.
But this is an off road sport. Anyone in one of the off road sports knows that it costs money...a right fair amount of money.
I fear that some of our members do not expect this.

I learned it on my 1980 K-10 pickup and a procession of six new Harleys. My older brother flew SH3H Sea King helos in the Navy for twenty years. As he said Harleys are like Helos,
they vibrate and they eat parts! Polaris Generals seem to fit that classification as well.

Whatever I can do to help members, I always try to do!

Ya it is, but some of these are pretty friggin steep for what they actually are. A wiper is not an off road sport item, even if you add it to one. ALL brand name accessories are A LOT, some worth it like glass, some not

True. But a complete wiper washer system for something like a Ford Escort, ordered from a Ford dealer, is probably pretty pricey too!

And then there is shipping!!! Holy cow!!!
Thus is my old Polaris General front bumper. A forum member has one that got bent big time. I had one just scuffed a bit. Sitting behind my shop for three years. So I offered it to him for $20 plus shipping. It's taken me three weeks to get bubble wrap, foam sheeting, a cardboard box and a roll of strapping tape in the same place, same time. Got it well padded, the box fitted and used the whole roll of strapping tape. Took it to the UPS shipping store here. The box doesn't weigh very much at all. Isn't really that big. How much do you think it cost to ship it UPS standard or ground, to Murietta, Georgia?
Ready...it cost $146 to ship that bumper. I asked the woman, Really that much?? She said Georgia and Florida shipping rates are just out of this world. No, I'm not going to ask buyer to pay the shipping. He's not looking for a real good shape bumper, just one that's not bent. He's got kids, Christmas is coming. So I'll do the right thing and just eat the cost.

This really doesn’t have much to do with the thread but I do want to say something about Polarisparts123…(Pirate mentioned them above) My son has a 2018 RZR 900 we rebuilt the engine, of course we had to disassemble the rear portion of the body to get it out. Hang on I will get to my point…During a ride last year he had a large branch kick up and go through his bed doing a large amount of damage to it. So i though I would do something nice for him and order him a replacement…Here we go… found it on Polaris parts 123 ordered it was charged shipping 75$ and paid for with my CC ordered was processed and card was charged and given a shipping date ….well shipping date came and went I waited a week and then called…this is where the fun started ….I was told that they could not ship the part for the price that I was charged on the CC and I would have to pay an additional 200$ to get it shipped…WTF ….so after a half hour of arguing with them on the phone I ended up canceling my order and will NEVER purchase anything from they again…Not a very good way to do business…..

I have to agree. Something has really changed ar Polarisparts123. Don't know what or why.
My local dealer will give me a 10% discount and no shipping costs. So that's where I'm going these days.

Shipping is only going to get worse in the next 2 years as gas and diesel unfortunately continue to go higher.
You can't push Green and more Green and shut off fossil fuel exploration and think gas and diesel will be a reasonable price.
Sometimes I think they are just out to break the Country.

Johnny 7,
I don't think "they" have any idea what they are trying to accomplish. The Go Green movement seems to base their plan on something they know nothing about.
Having worked for an Electric Utility, on the Energy Supply side, for 35 years. I'm very aware how important it is that generation follow the load. Meaning that during a 24 hour day,
just like our homes, the electricity required is changing all the time. For a utility service territory the total load does the same thing, only the load swings are larger. Coal fired units
do a great job of load following, or regulating as I knew it. Gas turbines have the capability, but not as much. They tend to be like a Ferrari, you get it, you put the pedal to the metal
and stay there. I have yet to see a solar system or a wind turbine farm that can regulate output to match the demand. Until we have that...we ain't going that green...unless we're willing to live
without electricity parts of the day. Which I hear is happening someplace in this country.

Then I get an e-mail with a video attached, a young man asking people on the street simple questions like. How many states are there in the United State? Ummm 4, no wait, 5.
What continent is the United States on? Ummm...Africa? You have a quarter and two dimes, how much money do you have? Sixty five cents.
This goes on for about 10 minutes. The questions are not difficult, if you have any education to the sixth grade. Not one single American citizen on the street answered a question correctly.
Boy are we on a downhill slide??
