I just received our new 2023 General XP with the polaris glass tip out windshield, which we paid the dealer to install. First windshield the gasket around the glass was messed up and it had about a 1/4 inch gap on the bottom between the windshield and dash. New replacement windshield also has a gap in the same spot. Is this normal or a bad install by the dealer? Crazy to think for almost $2k there is this gap where all the water etc can fly up at you.

Same year and model but 4 seater, not that that makes any difference, and we had the same windshield installed and no issue here.

Thank you for your response, per another local dealers website they have a unit with that windshield, I am going to check it out. Fingers crossed, there are no gaps. I should mention the gap is on the drivers side, if starting in the bottom corner, the gap goes up the side several inches and along the bottom just short of a foot.

try loosening the cage bolts? May be off there🤷🏿‍♂️

Thank you for the suggestion, since I had the dealer install I will try to do that. It would be a lot easier then dealing with the dealer.

I really like my SBC windshield. Fits neatly in the ROP channel, its glass and two hugh vents.

I have a factory ìnstalled tilt out glass wind shield. After two years it isn't sealing in both lower corners. I'm looking for suggestions to close the gap.

Here’s another thumbs up for SBC love mine…..I know some here think it looks like an Amish buggy window…Thats fine we all like different things….

BTY….The SBC rear window is a nice fit as well..

I had the SBC front window in mine . I didn't mind the " Buggy " look . What I didn't like was how much it leaked . Leaked at the top , had to pull it out and install more tape.on the frame itself, that didn't work so it came out again and I installed a rubber gasket from Amazon to the ROPS frame . That slowed it down but still leaked . The other spot is the hinge for the vents . Water poured in with no way to stop that . Pulled it out ( its for sale ) and installed the Polaris Lock and ride non tilt glass . 100% worth the money, no leaks.

Agreed mine leaked when first installed as well, I ended up caulking all the way around it with some good quality silicone and it did stop it at the top and sides but as mentioned above it still does leak a bit at the vents…
But hey when I am out riding in the rain I do expect to get a little wet….
