Made a bracket to stiffen up the dash mounted windshield latch. Mounted to the bottom left side utilizing the 6mm machine screws that protrude through the mount. Attached the bottom of the bracket to the crossbar running through the inner dash. Boy did it stiffen up the dash! No movement or flexing of the dash when latching. Kept everything on the far left so as not to interfere with the center storage box.
Also relieved the latch hooks with a Dremel and a 5/8 wide round sander and fine tuned it with a file. Latches very solid now without the violent vein popping cussing.
