Do your winch mount and/or fairlead have any positioning adjustment in them?
I would be curious to see if anyone else's synthetic line winch is touching there like yours.
Mine is not.

My isnt like that, instead it rubs the bottom of the slot.

Me to !!!

Wonder if the flare head has any adjustment—will ck tomorrow!!!!
Going to have to fab. Something so it doesn’t ruin the rope !!!
I would consider putting the fairlead, non-roller at the back and then get a Warn roller fairlead at the front.
This would probably end the chances of abrading the rope.

May I ask what size synthetic rope you're using an how long it is? Want to move to synthetic, but want something larger than what Polaris offers.
Thanks,
Pirate

You CANT get any larger rope through the drum. There's a 1/4" hole/allen screw drilled through the drum to hold the beginning of the rope. Theres not much room to spare to drill out for larger rope, I've tried it. Plus you loose capacity with the larger rope.

Just buy aftermarket rope thats 1/4". Most of it is rated at 10-15k lbs. Not surewhat more you want from a 4500 lb winch... going larger diameter is pointless IMO...

I've seen the 3/8" and 1/2" blue synthetic rope and thought it look good. I put the Polaris/Warn synthetic on my RZR800 winch and it seemed to stretch too much.
Just wondering. Got the tax refund and you know what that means...

It appears to be 3/8“
Pretty sure Polaris 4500# winch uses 6mm / 1/4" line

Nope, I upgraded my solar only to solar with battery backup. The 30% Federal Tax Credit is based on the "total cost" of the project. That means the cost of the equipment, my engineering time,
borrowing my tools, whatever I pay the Master Electrician to move the utility main disconnect. So a $34,000 project than didn't cost nearly that much out of pocket. So a third of that paid for the project and gave me some hp funding.
Unfortunately...twelve years retired and having to pay "quarterly estimates" to the Fed.
It's an awful life.
