My winch Rope rubs between the head and the winch on a frame brace—Is this normal ?? I am sure it will Fray the rope when there is pressure on it!!!!!!!

Line should not be touching anything but the winch drum and the fairlead.
Wider photo angle may help to see what the issue is.
Mine has the wire-rope and goes out the front from under the drum.

It appears yours is wound to exit over the drum. Is this correct?
If it's winding over the top of the drum vs. under the bottom, then your motor/switch is also wired wrong.

I'm with Renob, you should check to see how the rope is winding onto the drum.

This isn't the best pic but it shows how your rope should be feeding onto the drum from the bottom.

I believe the factory toggle switch has a wired plug/block on it. Therefore, reversing the wires is easier to do on the winch lugs.

My thought exactly
My winch is mounted quite a ways from the flare head
The winch on my Jeep with Amsteel Blue line comes out the bottom also.

Were you able to determine if your line exits over or under?

Looks like a pretty poor design—-will have to figure out something to go over the frame piece so it doesn’t wear the Rope !!!
Is the area it is making contact with smooth or sharp/rough?

Maybe put a second hawse back there.

Yes it is sharp—about 1/8” thick stamped steel !!!
Maybe put a second hawse back there.
Am considering that !!!!
I would be curious to see if anyone else's synthetic line winch is touching there like yours.
