What is better on the can am commander and what is worse about it compared to the general

The OP should clarify which Commander he's asking about.
The new 2021 Commander is based off the 2018+ Maverick so it is built on a 50" wide chassis/ROPS. The General was built to be 60" wide from the beginning. This was a major factor in us dumping the Rzr in 2016. I had hopes for the new Commander but that ship sunk. Now the hope is for a Northstar General.

The 2 cupholders are ahead of the shifter.
The front fenders bump up and can obstruct your view if you are "vertically challenged" according to my copilot (who is). 🤫
 
Totally different design (engine placement) than the old ones (pretty sure I said that before too).
Correction on the cupholders...I went and looked, they are either side of the shifter tunnel just ahead of the seat base.
