I made the down payment for my 2022 General XP4 Deluxe RC in Ghost White on 5/20.

On July 23, I had a shipping date range of 8/20-9/17.

On July 30, a day after the 2022 Polaris Lineup announcement, that range was MOVED UP--You read that right, UP!--to 8/6-9/3. Woo Hoo! Start buying all the new camping gear, tools, tie downs and trailer gear, some specialty products to make the ride mine, etc., etc.

And buy it right quick.

Today, August 13, my dealer hands me a printout with my order number, and yet another new shipping date range. This time, it's been MOVED BACK 2 months and the range widened almost 2 weeks to 10/7-11/18.

I know many have waited 5 months or more. So this really puts my new ride at about the average amount of time it's taking to get 'em these days. Both my dealer and I were surprised when Polaris moved the date up...

And I don't blame my dealer for this at all of course, they have no control over production.

But the fact that Polaris teased me like that...moving the date UP...now that'll chafe your hide right there. Right. There.

Well, if there's one thing I've learned, it's that there's no use in coppin' a chafe over those things I have no control over. I've got enough chaffage already.

I called. I've had a lot worse waits, to be fair, and it is 4:30 p.m. Minnesota time, on a Friday, in the middle of the summer. Finally, the customer service rep checked with the "specialist"--of course I don't blame any of those folks either--but all they could do was confirm the new ship date range. "Might've been a part didn't come in that they thought would...and then again, that part could come in and we ship it right away."

Honest answer. Fair enough.

Such is the world these days, eh?

Who'd'a thunk it? Who'd'a thunk it would be this hard to spend tens of thousands of U.S. dollars. I could understand if it were drachma's or something. But U.S. dollars? "C'mon man!"

But what are you gonna do? Get all twisted up about it? What purpose does that serve?

Let. It. Go. LIG it, man. LIG it.

As my dear mother would say, "This too shall pass..."

Now, where's my cocktail...

Waited 7 months for mine I feel your pain the specialist have zero clue Polaris makes money by accident one of the worst corporations I have ever dealt with
In their defense, supply lines are disrupted everywhere. Thus far, other than what I describe above, my experience with Polaris has been just fine. My experience with my dealer has been excellent.

And I can't wait to drive that machine...

Drove past a rural dealer I've dealt with before, three sxs's sitting in front of the building! Usually there is two long rows between the fence and building with sxs's, four wheelers lined up down the side of the building, and more sxs's lined up across from the parking lot. The local dealer isn't any better! Saw today an article with a picture of a lot of new Ford Bronco's still sitting in the factory storage lots, waiting parts, all manufacturing is having a difficult time right now!!

The auto industry is the same. Stopped at the Ford dealership in Harrisonburg VA yesterday. They had a used 2020 F250 diesel pickup for sale. Basically the same model as my 2013 truck. XLT with the FX4 package. Very good shape with 30K on it. They wanted 65K.

Must have been Rye, AZ.
It is only going to get worse with the new strain of the Chinese Virus going around.
Also paying people not to work is a bunch of BS with all the businesses that are looking for help.

Yes it was Rye! I imagine its a logistic nightmare trying to determine build dates, even get units partially built, and then have to hold till final parts arrive! Just have to be patient!

Reports coming in that the manufacturers are not holding things until final parts arrive. They are shipping them to the dealers minus display screens, shocks etc. Parts will follow when they are available. Not General specific here.

That is weird.
I ordered a tan on April 28th and it got moved to a ‘22 white. The day the ‘22s were announced she told me it had october/November date on it.

She told me the the special editions were august. So I canceled my first order and switched. For $1K more I would take a few extra features and 3-4 month shorter delivery, especially since it would mean the actual chance to drive it in 2021!

Yep. Just look at his plan with the Afghanistan evacuation mess. Embarrassing!

Little Rocket Man will probably start his crap again over in North Korea.

I ordered a XP Deluxe March 26 in tan. Somewhere along the way it got switched to a 22 model in white. I changed the order to black and that caused Polaris to lose my order briefly, but they found it. My ship date range is September 2 through October 15. My dealer has been great to work with but I wish Polaris would be a little better about communicating. I guess that goes along with too many people like me showing up saying “take my money”.
