My temperature is all over the place it will go up and down from -20 to 200. I read where it could be a fuse or breaker but I can’t find it anywhere.
I would not do this... if it blows it won't reset itself.... that's why polaris uses a circuit breaker, so it resets itself... they do get weak over time, so you may need to replace it. Or you have an issue that makes it reset often...I have had issues with that 30 amp breaker fuse on my General XP getting too hot and kicking out. Did away with it and replaced it with a common 30 amp fuse. No more issues!
Could be air or a faulty sending unit as well…radiator full?My temperature is all over the place it will go up and down from -20 to 200. I read where it could be a fuse or breaker but I can’t find it anywhere.
Yes the radiator is fullCould be air or a faulty sending unit as well…radiator full?
Where is this breaker located?I have had issues with that 30 amp breaker fuse on my General XP getting too hot and kicking out. Did away with it and replaced it with a common 30 amp fuse. No more issues!
Replaced it several times! New ones get extremely hot and shut down too 30 amp fuse has been no problem! Been running a year no fuses blown and cooling works wellI would not do this... if it blows it won't reset itself.... that's why polaris uses a circuit breaker, so it resets itself... they do get weak over time, so you may need to replace it. Or you have an issue that makes it reset often...

It effects the temperature causing it to rise because the breakers kills the fan from running. I was told the only reason they use a breaker is for people that run in mud and deep water. We have no problems like that here in ArizonaHow does the breaker affect the temp reading?
Pirate i have not done that and don't believe that is the issue in my case but your point is well taken. When I experienced high temperature rise is in the summer with ambient temperatures north of 100 degrees for long periods of time. I also installed a fan over ride switch for the summer rides and the engine stays within the normal operating rangesBut...have you warmed the engine up, then opened the bleed screw on the top front of the cylinder head? That's the highest point in the cooling system, thus where air collects. If there
is air in the coolant system, the temperature will indeed vary a good bit.
Pirate
Ryan it is located in your fuse box where your battery is located. How old is your General? If is new Pirate is right on the subject about bleeding the air out of it.Where is this breaker located?
Well he said it goes to -20…to only 200, so I’m guessing it’s not the breaker. Didn’t say it’s shutting down for overheat…just fluctuating unless I missed it.It effects the temperature causing it to rise because the breakers kills the fan from running. I was told the only reason they use a breaker is for people that run in mud and deep water. We have no problems like that here in Arizona
That’s the temperature and an overheat condition from the fan not running, I get that. This isn’t the problem from what I have read.It effects the temperature causing it to rise because the breakers kills the fan from running. I had so many problems with my issue, his may not be related but it is worth a look. That’s the temperature and an overheat condition from the fan not running, I get that. This isn’t the problem from what I have read.
It is a 2017Ryan it is located in your fuse box where your battery is located. How old is your General? If is new Pirate is right on the subject about bleeding the air out of it.
Just realized that my overflow is leaking out so it’s not staying full. But my radiator is full. I don’t know it this is a problem but thought I would say itIt is a 2017
May have air somewhere then.....Just realized that my overflow is leaking out so it’s not staying full. But my radiator is full. I don’t know it this is a problem but thought I would say it
