I have had issues with that 30 amp breaker fuse on my General XP getting too hot and kicking out. Did away with it and replaced it with a common 30 amp fuse. No more issues!
I would not do this... if it blows it won't reset itself.... that's why polaris uses a circuit breaker, so it resets itself... they do get weak over time, so you may need to replace it. Or you have an issue that makes it reset often...

But...have you warmed the engine up, then opened the bleed screw on the top front of the cylinder head? That's the highest point in the cooling system, thus where air collects. If there
is air in the coolant system, the temperature will indeed vary a good bit.

Replaced it several times! New ones get extremely hot and shut down too 30 amp fuse has been no problem! Been running a year no fuses blown and cooling works well

Pirate i have not done that and don't believe that is the issue in my case but your point is well taken. When I experienced high temperature rise is in the summer with ambient temperatures north of 100 degrees for long periods of time. I also installed a fan over ride switch for the summer rides and the engine stays within the normal operating ranges

It effects the temperature causing it to rise because the breakers kills the fan from running. I was told the only reason they use a breaker is for people that run in mud and deep water. We have no problems like that here in Arizona
Well he said it goes to -20…to only 200, so I’m guessing it’s not the breaker. Didn’t say it’s shutting down for overheat…just fluctuating unless I missed it.

That’s the temperature and an overheat condition from the fan not running, I get that. This isn’t the problem from what I have read.

You know...I installed a SuperATV HD radiator. Works great keeping coolant temp down. It seems every ride the overflow bottle would be empty. So I'd fill it up.
Then got a little worse and I'd find a bit of coolant on the floor of the shop. Could not figure out where it was dripping from...up in there where you can't see...
Got a good deal from SuperATV and bought another HD radiator and installed it. No more empty overflow bottle. Right at the Cold Level.
Going to pressure test the old radiator to find the leak and figure out if it can be repaired.

Mine is irradic if I don't keep the heat dial on hot all the time (sorry didn't have time to read the whole post here, don't even know if you have a heater) But anyways been running with it on hot with the fan off and everything is stable as can be, something with the secondary thermostat I believe. Been running for 3000mi now on hot, minute I mess with it temps get irradic but never overheated and never got over 216. Been thinking about putting a ball valve in there at some point but not sure, let me know if that changes it for you!

Also, father in law (my dealer) said he would get me a new thermostat but I haven't seen him for a while. might try that before ball valve, but having it on hot makes it temp perfectly normal. if I put it on cold, I can drop or rise 10 to 20 degrees in 10 seconds....it's crazy. No air, I burped mine a few times too......not sure but seems heater related. I also carry a spare breaker in my spare fuse box as well j/i/c.
