with the molded plastic push pin had pulled out of the hole --reinserted it and it worked one time --and pulled itself out again. Applied RTV silicone adhesive to the push pin part, and inserted it into the hole. Then took a hose clamp and formed it around the square door frame, placed the hose clamp on top of the cable end, tightened it up, works great. Thought about using zip ties –hose clamped worked best –see photos.

Great idea.
Hose clamps, zip ties, and duct tape, what would a guy do without these things!
