So then ECP just got a new axle. The chance that it might come out again...is still there.
So it goes.

Most of the axle pop outs are on new machines with very few miles on them. I don't believe this is an axle or clip issue. I believe this is an assembly issue at the plant. 90% or more of the time, this issue is fixed by simply pushing the axle back in and making sure it's properly seated... I don't believe there's a massive axle/clip issue... but nonetheless it's still something to be aware of/watch mainly on new machines...

Absolutely correct. I'm sure a lot of us know more about out machines than they do.

The dealer closest to me is now selling Polaris, KTM dirt bikes, Indian motor cycles, Ural side car bikes and an off brand SXS. I trusted them to do the gas tank recall. But that's all and ever will be!

Not sure what ol' Toxic's thumb's down was about....but the rear inner CV's are different from the 2016-2018 models to the 2019+ models. Not saying they threw in an old one at the factory or at the dealer for sure....just speculating that its a possibility.

The newer CV splines are 3mm longer and there's a 5mm difference in the clip location between the two axles.

But...more than likely just not installed all the way at the factory.

Just got my replacement axle Was going to install it tonight but noticed My old axle
had a rubber o ring Which sits up against the steel part Of the CV joint about an inch and a 1/2 from the cir clip. My new axle doesn't have this rubber O ring on it Just want to make sure that this o ring is supposed to go back on the new axle.

Put the O ring on the new shaft, and install.

I just bought a 23 general xp 4 ultimate. Bought it from a dealer 2.5hrs away and didn't drive it at the dealer at all. I had my buddy load it while I was doing the paperwork. When I unloaded it from the trailer I thought it was stuck in turf mode because the switch was not functioning. Started troubleshooting and found that the switch was left unplugged. Plugged it in and still only right wheel pull. After further inspection the driver side rear axle was not in far enough. I pushed it in but could not get it to snap in. I rode it around but it came back out. Called the dealer and they came and got it. Ordered a new axle but decided to take one off a new machine that they were doing other work on so I wouldn't have to wait on the part. They are going to bring it back tomorrow.
Leason learned: Drive it before you leave the dealership. Anyone buying a new General, check the rear axles.

I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be a good idea to put a 1/8" spacer between the axle and the backside of the bearing carrier.
There isn't a "fit" back there, so what difference would it make, other than keeping axles from popping out?
