This also happened to my brand new 2023 XP. I was in turf mode and stopped moving. Discovered the right rear axle popped out. I will try expanding the clip and see if it helps any.

Did you have to disassemble all components on that side to pull the axle and expand the clip? or could you do it some easier way? Some say it maybe able to be done by just removing the shock and pilling the axle out enough to get at the clip.

Took all of 20 mins to disassemble then reassemble. Since I have to do it again, I'll get some pictures and share. As for the clip, sadly I didn't check. I just popped the axle back in assuming it was an oversight during the build process.

not sure what you meant Johnny 7 but dealer order me a new axle today, probably have to wait a couple weeks with Christmas but they said they expect I will have it first week of Jan. Hopefully these things are in stock at Polaris and not back ordered.

Is the dealer warranting the axle?

I sent the pics over to my dealer, waiting to hear back.

I meant I hope Polaris does something about this but we know more than likely they won't.

Yep they are warranting it, Did say Polaris is tough on axle warranty but with only 500 miles and only 2 months old they said if Polaris gives them any grief they will warranty it themselves. I can understand Polaris not wanting to warranty an axle if the boot is ripped or if the axle is broken as that is abuse in most cases. But an axle falling out which is no fault of the driver, then wearing the spline because you drove it not knowing it had fallen out, that is warranty in my books. I would not be happy if it was denied let me tell you that.

I am not sure.
I have never actually done this as a test.
I personally would not change the clip, I bet there is nothing wrong with it.
However I would try and spread it a lirttle.

There are some on this post, I think, that have had the axle come completely out of the diff and get wedged.
I'm headed to my shop pretty quick here...but my Turner Cycles Nitro rear axle...you talk about difficult to get the clip out of the groove so the axle will come out. And having to use a 4lb dead blow hammer to drive the axle in so the clip goes into the groove. I'm wondering if the diameter of the clip is different. Larger on mine.
I have a spare Nitro axle and a left over stock axle. I'm going to check to see if the diameter of the clips are different.
It might be that going to a larger diameter clip might end this problem. A lot of owners reporting it has happened to them.
Thoughts?

I have seen posts and pics about them coming out of the Differential and Spool.
But being careful with the words we use, I have never seen one come completely out, and flop around.
I'm not saying that it can not happen, I just have not seen it.
However, I do recommend taking it to the Dealer or provide pics, depending on your relationship with your Dealer.
This way the damage can be reported and a warranty case opened.
As pictured, I have seen the axles rounded off and the inside splines/Lip of the Spool/Differential damaged from this happening.

I do not have a direct answer as to why this is happening.
It has not happened on a new unit in my group, and since I'm an independent, I do not see warranty work to try to asses why this is happening.

The CirClip Wire diameter could be a little different on your Turners, But dimensionally your confined to the parameters Polaris has already set in the design.
