They've had you on the hook for 2 months, and you're still willing to give them your money?

Jan 13th "late next week".
Jan 25th "3 weeks".
Jan 31st "next couple weeks".
Feb 14th "maybe 2 weeks".

Mar 10th "probably in the next week or so".

I suspect this is what he's referring to.
Nailed it...

As a customer I would be very weary of this... this is not the kind of customer service I would look for from a company...

Why ? As a customer ( though I have no.interest in this product) I would rather a company test items for longer then they first stated. Instead of rush them to market .

I'm talking about the false time-line... it just feels to me like a lot of lies... now look at this as a warranty situation, something breaks you're told 1 week for parts, then it's 3, then it's a month, then it's 2 months ect... Are you still happy with your purchase?

Also SATV is a forum sponsor, you don't find it kind of weird that you haven't heard about this product on their own post? Especially since this is a general specific product and this is a general specific forum... you don't find that kinda weird?

This whole situation just doesn't build a lot of confidence in a product IMO.... IMO I'd buy a manual flip windsheild (if I were wanting a power flip) and an electric actuator. Then figure out a way to make them work. It's gotta be simple, not very difficult at all...

How many products have you Engineered/ built / brought to market ? I'm sure there is alot of trial and error in that . Maybe the 1st release date was optimistic but they ran into problems, or decided to try different components and so on and so forth . As for warranty no I wouldn't be happy with a 1 week fix turning into 2 months , but I think you might be reaching with that example. From what I have read on here SuperAtv has pretty great CS . And no I don't find it weird that I haven't read a post from SuperAtv about this item in a post started by them . Maybe they didn't want to make a post until it was actually available.

The bigger question here is how many has SATV done. Tens of thousands? Experience should tell them not to promise a product if it isn't actually going to happen on time...especially not promise/delay it multiple times.

Maybe they didn't want to make a post until it was actually available.
And yet they did...repeatedly.

Agreed. I have SATV parts on several machines, have chatted with them over potential future items and will undoubtedly buy more from them in the future. This situation is out of the ordinary for them in my opinion. There has been only one mention of a specific delay but multiple "next week/2 weeks" responses. Production delays, supply line shortages, multiple people responsible for posting under the SATV name, SATV posting on multiple Forums so they are not able to keep track of what was said when and to who, etc. etc. etc. There are many possible explanations but SATV has not really provided one yet.

Seems to me the best thing they could do now is own up to their mistake, apologize and get solid info before making any more promises. It's the weekend, we'll see what they have to say on Monday.

lueck89...I suspect that 3 or so months ago you never thought I'd be defending your position in a debate. 😁

Sorry for all the delays fellas. I never would have imagined some delays would stir up this much drama.

Things happen though. Its a brand new part and design, and I guess I was a little optimistic on when it would be ready. We have a lot of irons in the fire here, and sometimes we have delays like anywhere else.

We just built on another 100k sq/ft manufacturing addition here, and we've been moving some production lines into it for the last month. The windshield department was one of those lines being moved.

I am in the auto restoration business and understand delays in Products—we restored a 1979 trans am—the customer wanted fuel inj.. we checked out several units and what we wanted was on back order for 30-60 days so we went ahead and ordered—-7 months later still waiting for some of the parts—-sucks but our hands are tied !!!! I will order a Windshield when available and understand the manufacturing and design process !!!! Have purchased products from Super ATV in the past and they are TOP KNOTCH !!!!!

Been waiting for motorcycle tires for over 6 months and that keeps getting pushed back also.
Glad I still can ride on the ones I have.

I suspect those c-store and restoration customers have been told why there is a delay correct?
SATV just kept promising "next week/2 weeks".

Because they are such a good company and because this is uncharacteristic for them they deserved to be called out on it.

Good friends tell their friends what they need to hear even if they don't want to hear it. SATV, it's not "drama". It's pointing out to you that you are slipping in your image. You're welcome.

I believe the proper philosophy is under promise and over deliver, seems like they missed it this time. Hope the product is good though. :)
