Allright its finally happened, sold my kawi quad. And now with Kawi dragging there feet Im forced into jumping ship. Ive been watching every video and thread about the new General, and now I want one! My local dealer just recently received an Orange Deluxe. My question is what should I be looking for on the assembled machine? I noticed the wire for the sound bar exposed in the passenger side front roll bar, is that supposed to be like that? The bed sides seemed to be pretty tight. And I thought it was supposed to have a rear view mirror? Is there anything else I should be looking for? Thanks guys.

Welcome Moosin! Yeah the deluxe comes with a rear view mirror. There is no headliner so the wire to the stereo should only be seen where it comes out of the roll bar and tucks into the stereo. get all the installation instructions for dealer installed equipment. Stereo etc. Then get them to print out all the instructions for accessories. They will show you how things come apart and should have been installed if done by your dealer.

Welcome. I am sure you will be happy with a General compared to any Kawasaki Teryx.

There is an Aux wire for the Stereo that is usually tucked up inside the plastic, I wonder if this dealer left it exposed on purpose during installation?

Im sure the ride quality will be much better than my old praire 650. Its the quality of the machine ive always been worried about. Only thing I ever did to the 2003 praire was swing arm bearings, headlight, front driveshaft seal, and the typical tune up stuff. Im not questioning the durability of polaris, I just had excellent luck with my old one. So nothing else to look into on a new machine, going to a bunch of dealers this weekend to feel them all out.
