Hate to see you go. Come back and update us on the RZR, when you can.
The new 2024 or the previous model? There are some good deals on the 2023's.I two am going to be going to an RZR 1000XP
There were 2 main issues. The fuel rail on the XP Turbo's did leak and could cause fires. That machine is no longer produced and the new XP will be NA only.Did they ever fix the issue with fires on RZRs? I have a friend who’s RZR just burnt up a couple months ago. Not sure what year it was. Polaris won’t pay and insurance won’t pay 🤬
Me too.Congrats @Herdfan ! I can't wait to see them in person.
Insurance (progressive ) said it was the fault of the owner. That he didn’t maintain it or some dumb sh*t bc there’s nobody I know who takes better care of everything he has more than this guy. It was immaculate. He was going up a hill and got a call from his wife and stopped but I think kept it in gear, just had the brake on. And a man ran over to him and yelled You’re on fire! Didn’t start around the engine, started underneath. He said it was possible there were leaves under it that got hot but can’t imagine. ☹There were 2 main issues. Second, too many people were storing/transporting gasoline in the bed improperly. It leaks, drips on a hot engine and causes a fire.
Why wouldn't insurance pay?
thats a good idea. I’ll tell him that. ThanksIf I were him, I would put in a call to his State Insurance Commissioner and have them look into it.
Won't cost him a dime as that is what they do to keep insurance companies in-check.
I had to do this once with hail damage, their estimate was waaay too low and they wouldn't raise it at all. Called the State Insurance Commission in ND where I lived at the time, and they checked it out and within 2 weeks, I had a check for the correct amount.
Without the cab room and a smaller seat….the two things that turned me away from the RZR…...but I am beginning to think the extra suspension travel and getting rid of the tippy feeling are worth the trade…..I would strongly consider an XP4 if I were to replace the general. They did all the things in the 2024 Xp that I didn't like about the RZR, but included in the General. From power, seating position and bed size. You are gonna love it. It's like an ultra sporty General 4.
I think this is why the XP is going to be such a hit. They have more room, more upright seats and larger. The early reviews are raving about these changes. It's still no general as far as console storage etc, but it's a nice happy medium from General to RZR pro etc.Without the cab room and a smaller seat….the two things that turned me away from the RZR…...but I am beginning to think the extra suspension travel and getting rid of the tippy feeling are worth the trade…..
I think that is a major flaw in Polaris’ naming structure. People don’t realize the differences or that changes were made.I will have to check one out in person when the local dealers gets one on the floor…I sat in a 2022 that they had on the floor left over or could even have been a 2023 offering 2000 off price and 1000 in accessories….Just cannot do it too tight and a little seat at 6’3” 280# I am not what you would consider a small guy….Maybe the 24 will fit better…
Definitely. In 2019 we had a hail storm hit my neighborhood. So out of 60+ houses, there were 4 that were denied by Erie. What the Erie adjuster didn't know was that one of the houses he declined to cover, was the Insurance Commissioner's. Let's just say that he is no longer employed by Erie.If I were him, I would put in a call to his State Insurance Commissioner and have them look into it.

Not so sure. Maybe a true console, but you get the 2 dash boxes, a glovebox and can add 2 door bags as well. Plenty of storage.I think this is why the XP is going to be such a hit. Very much so. In some of the promo videos they talk about how it is for the trail rider who doesn't need a turbo and just wants a nice ride. Translation: 50 year olds.but it's a nice happy medium from General to RZR pro etc.
