But all things must end.

I just placed a deposit on a 2024 RZR XP 4. Looking at mid-June for delivery.

I considered everything from a Pro XP to a Pro R and was leaning towards the Pro XP until I saw the new XP. It will be an upgrade from the General, but probably all we need.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

Herdfan, I hear ya I actually have my General up for sale as well it has been and still is a great machine. My wife and I have enjoyed it very much but she hasn’t like the tippy feeling of the General since day one, I two am going to be going to an RZR 1000XP but need to sell the G first so if anybody is looking for a good reliable machine give me a shout…

The new 2024 or the previous model? There are some good deals on the 2023's.
Congrats @Herdfan ! I can't wait to see them in person.
All depends on how soon I sell the General…..
Did they ever fix the issue with fires on RZRs? I have a friend who’s RZR just burnt up a couple months ago. Not sure what year it was. Polaris won’t pay and insurance won’t pay 🤬

There were 2 main issues. The fuel rail on the XP Turbo's did leak and could cause fires. That machine is no longer produced and the new XP will be NA only.

Second, too many people were storing/transporting gasoline in the bed improperly. It leaks, drips on a hot engine and causes a fire.

Why wouldn't insurance pay?

Insurance (progressive ) said it was the fault of the owner. That he didn’t maintain it or some dumb sh*t bc there’s nobody I know who takes better care of everything he has more than this guy. It was immaculate. He was going up a hill and got a call from his wife and stopped but I think kept it in gear, just had the brake on. And a man ran over to him and yelled You’re on fire! Didn’t start around the engine, started underneath. He said it was possible there were leaves under it that got hot but can’t imagine. ☹

If I were him, I would put in a call to his State Insurance Commissioner and have them look into it.
Won't cost him a dime as that is what they do to keep insurance companies in-check.
I had to do this once with hail damage, their estimate was waaay too low and they wouldn't raise it at all. Called the State Insurance Commission in ND where I lived at the time, and they checked it out and within 2 weeks, I had a check for the correct amount.

thats a good idea. I’ll tell him that. Thanks
I would strongly consider an XP4 if I were to replace the general. They did all the things in the 2024 Xp that I didn't like about the RZR, but included in the General. From power, seating position and bed size. You are gonna love it. It's like an ultra sporty General 4.

Without the cab room and a smaller seat….the two things that turned me away from the RZR…...but I am beginning to think the extra suspension travel and getting rid of the tippy feeling are worth the trade…..

I think this is why the XP is going to be such a hit. They have more room, more upright seats and larger. The early reviews are raving about these changes. It's still no general as far as console storage etc, but it's a nice happy medium from General to RZR pro etc.
I will have to check one out in person when the local dealers gets one on the floor…I sat in a 2022 that they had on the floor left over or could even have been a 2023 offering 2000 off price and 1000 in accessories….Just cannot do it too tight and a little seat at 6’3” 280# I am not what you would consider a small guy….Maybe the 24 will fit better…

I think that is a major flaw in Polaris’ naming structure. People don’t realize the differences or that changes were made.

The new 2024 RZR XP is not in dealers showrooms and is a complete redesign. A handful of prototypes were given to a few industry experts and influencers. I doubt there are many folks that have actually seen one in person.
Once you see the cab and seats you will see how it more closely compares to the upright seating of the General.
The 24' has some very nice driveline improvements.
I should see my parts about October.

Definitely. In 2019 we had a hail storm hit my neighborhood. So out of 60+ houses, there were 4 that were denied by Erie. What the Erie adjuster didn't know was that one of the houses he declined to cover, was the Insurance Commissioner's. Let's just say that he is no longer employed by Erie.

Not so sure. Maybe a true console, but you get the 2 dash boxes, a glovebox and can add 2 door bags as well. Plenty of storage.

As for the rear, not a bed, but I ordered the 82 qt forward storage for tools and recovery gear. It alone is bigger than the 2 Kolpin boxes I had. And I added the 32 qt rear insulated box to use as a cooler. And my spare will be on the lifting rack above it all.

Very much so. In some of the promo videos they talk about how it is for the trail rider who doesn't need a turbo and just wants a nice ride. Translation: 50 year olds.

Don't get me wrong, I would have loved a Pro XP or Turbo R. And was going to get the Pro XP had this machine not been released. It is the perfect combination.

But I will admit to being a bit confused by the lineup in that they simply didn't build a NA version of the Pro XP and call that the XP.
