How to narrow up stance of general xp premium

New tender springs and some 9 or 9.5 wide tires should do it

what width are you trying to hit? when i was buying i took a tapemeasure out to a number of machines and measured width as i had heard a number of complaints about not fitting through gates. And most of the machines i measured were true to width stock or atleast within 1/2 an inch.

Ratchet strap the a arms through gates, works mint.

Or, try approaching the gate at a 15 (or so) degree angle. It can make your machine narrower and allow you through the gate.
I've used this trick successfully many times!

If you’re looking to modify your ride, there are many excellent suggestions here on the forum, but I had need to narrow mine only for the purpose to load it on a trailer without bouncing off the rails. It was a pain in the ass, but I narrowed it by using a ratchet strap on the an arms to draw them together (narrowing the stance by a few inches), and did the same on the rear suspension. It’s definitely a Jethro Clampett remedy, but it allowed me to load and unload off of a trailer that would have otherwise been too narrow. A good way to get out of Dodge if you are stuck otherwise. If you forget to remove the ratchet, the worst consequence is a hard-tail bone jarring ride, which will quickly remind you to remove the straps.
