Has anyone on here replaced the lower steering shaft? I thought I could remove the 2 bolts and slip the shaft off the splines put there is not enough room. Trying to determine if i will need to remove the EPS, upper steering shaft, and maybe the steering column. Other option is to remove the rack and pinion which looks like a lot more work.

I appreciate any help or advice.

Thanks!

I guess you could say I have some experience in this area as I have done two rack and pinions over the years, trust me the rack is a nightmare to r&r so I would go at it from the top side. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I was able to remove the entire steering column and EPS which allowed the lower steering shaft to slide off.
