Doc fees just really trip my trigger. Biggest rip-off there is. Give me the paperwork and I do my own licensing and titling.
Refuse to pay it, if they insist I tell them to bury it somewhere else or I shop elsewhere. Maybe I am too old fashioned!
Constant price hikes and another 5% coming soon. And it looks like polaris is applying price hikes based on delivery date, not order date. This didn't use to be the case. Times they are a changin
Reading some of the more recent posts, that must be the case. When we ordered our G4 Aug 1 2021, the deal was you locked in your price when you ordered it. When we picked it up dec 24, that held true. Im not sure when that changed. Ingman is right, its not fair to have to order a machine at a certain price, then on delivery 5 months later, the price jumps to wherever inflation has taken it. Very unsettling times we find ourselves in.
The dealer just charged me a $200 fee on top of the machine. Wish it was like 2019. One dealer then was trying to sell me an xp4 for $19,000, or an Rzr xp4 for $18,100. My wife told me no, and now I like to rub it in how wrong she was.
We ordered ours on February 5 2022 and was told it would be here about July. We got on March 27. I believe it was because ours didn’t have RC. My sales guy told me that he didn’t think that was the case. I believe he’s wrong, just watching who’s getting them. The price thing is so wrong the price should be what it was when ordered.
I'm sure I will wait it out. Just frustrated. And I made them put "Refundable deposit" on the receipt. If it comes in and it's 2k higher, they can KMA.
New purchase tip...Have your dealer install any self purchased add ons for no charge and wrap it into the assembly charge.. mine put on the turn signals, horn, ryfab rear window, light bar, upgraded system 3 rims and carnivore tires, heater, door uppers, head liner and super atv skid plate for no additional charge. Mies Outland in MN !!
Thanks. I like to do that stuff myself.
I ordered the bone stock deluxe and have a large list in my amazon list of parts.
That's part of the fun for me.
I couldn't get my dealer to install any accessories free of charge. They also did not offer any sort of discount on accessories purchased through them.
My machine is a deal that fell through for them so it was already assembled before I bought it.
It's an unfortunate time to buy. The buyer (unless they are willing to wait for an unknown period of time) is stuck buying from the place that has the machine they want. If you don't like their price, they couldn't care less. They'll just call the next guy.
I love to haggle and negotiate and that fun has largely been stripped away for me.
Prices went up 5% at the end of March for any vehicle delivered after that date. Doesn't matter if you reserved it a year ago. That too was a motivator for me to buy the one I did.
@KineKilla, curious what Dealer you ended up getting your rig from? As for accessories, last fall when everyone was backordered on the Polaris uppers, I called my Dealer's Parts Dept, and found they had just received in a set of uppers. I went there to get it, and asked if I could get a discount since I bought my machine there. The Parts manager said they usually don't offer a discount, but he gave me 10% off anyway, which on the uppers, is some good change.

Our dealer installs all of our accessories for free when we buy our machines from him. I don't have them install our blinkers/strobe lights though, as they get put in the way I want it put in. You start figuring in a heater everytime and all the other accessories and at $120-$150 an hour shop time, it adds up to quite a savings.
X 2... the only thing my dealer charged me to install at time of purchase was the heater. That was $500. I told him he could have that 8-10 hr job for that price!!! I even get 15% off accessories or something like that at time of purchase. Sounds like some guys have really greedy dealers in their area....
I also just purchased polaris uppers (4 months after my xp purchase) from my dealer. Charged $150 to install them. Figured that was a **** of a deal too, that way all I gotta do is final adjustments. If the dealer messed up the doors from drilling in the wrong spot that's on them then!
A dealer in Missouri wanted to charge me $3001 in paperwork and setup fees, when I questioned about it, they said take it or leave it the next guy will pay it. So I left it and 12 hours later bought the same machine at another dealer for less than MSRP and no extra fees.
Updated again! Its been shipped! Currently in transit.
