Cold Fronts (grille covers)
These help maintain a higher engine temp in the winter which helps with heat output. For example, my General runs at about 174º-176º in the winter with no cover. I get no warm air out of my heater at those temps. With the cover in place, my General runs between 190º-205º and I get nice warm air out of my heater.
Obviously, you do not run these in warmer weather or if you see your engine temps climbing into the "hot" zone.

These are made to order; you choose the embroidery color and whether or not you need the camera provision.
The covers come with 9 zip ties for easy attachment to/removal from your grille.

Please PM me to order.

Please note, these do not have "Polaris" on them. They simply have "General" embroidered on them. Best to avoid any trademark issues.
I can’t speak higher of a vendor!! Product is wonderful in its self, but the customer service is over the top!!! This is must get.

Got my cover a few days ago, but just got home to install it. Shipping speed was excellent. The cover fits well and it seems pretty durable. FYI to anyone with a 22 black crystal, the color I got was a tad dark for the brown lettering/hood color. But matches the brown on the seats pretty close, it maybe just a touch dark there too. But overall I'm very satisfied!

@TaterTots I would definitely be interested in a lower grill cover for a general if you ever make one!

Aw! It ended up being a little dark, after all. It does look nice though! I like the complementary color. I very much appreciate the feedback and photos. It really helps me dial everything in.
I should mention that this was a custom color request, not the standard Bronze color on the website.

I actually do make a lower cover; I ran one on my General last winter as have 2 other "testers". The set of 2 covers (upper & lower) definitely keeps the temp range higher. The cooling fan cycles on and off as it does in the summer so I've been a little hesitant to offer the lower cover for fear that people may be uncomfortable with the higher temp range; especially if they've got cooling fan issues.

I may add them to the website and make it VERY clear what to expect. The lower covers are a bit of a pain to put on so I made some twist clips to mount them since it's so difficult to get down in there to put the little zip ties on. They would come with those clips.

This is the lower cover I run on my General. It's my first prototype so it's got a few...ahem...misaligned mounting holes. lol! You get the idea, though. :)

Ok didn't know you made lowers. Thought they were still in development... I'll try with just the upper. See once what thst does, maybe I won't need the lower? I'll definitely report back on that! Thanks for the great product once again!

After running two days with the grill cover, Starting temps around 38deg. and ending around 50deg. I have found running the upper cover is perfect. The main reason for running with cover is to help aid my Polaris heater in warming up. Without, It seems to take forever to reach the magical 178 deg. before thermostat will allow heat. That being said once I have heat it seems to achieve it more regularly throughout the day. I do have the manual fan override installed and ran with fan on most of the day yesterday as engine temps climbed rapidly while cruising in low or high. Amazing what a difference blocking just the upper part of grill does to operating temps. I do prefer to keep my temps under 200 although I'm aware that would be well within the normal operating range.
I think having both upper and lower grills covered would be detrimental to proper cooling in the long run except in extreme cold conditions. I do ride all winter, Sometimes reaching below zero temps and still achieved normal operating temps while driving whether that might be due to chugging thru snow or mud. Personally I believe running just the upper cover is going to be perfect for me.

@Okelberryt Please go to my profile by clicking on my avatar, then click on the "About" tab. You'll find a link to my store there & you can message me that way. Sorry for the sort of roundabout way, but I don't think you'll be able to message here because of the minimum post count required to do so. Thanks!
