Miles Per Tank Of Fuel...

I'm just curious, how many miles do the various folks on this site get out of a tank of fuel? I got 75 miles today. I was full throttle, or as close as I could, most of the ride. When I turned back I had 1/4 tank (2 bars), according to the fuel gauge. I drove like a little ole' lady going to church the 15 miles home. When I tanked up I had been on 1/8 tank (1 bar) for over 5 miles. General only took on 6 gallons, meaning I had 3 1/2 gallons left in the tank. Let's not get to lost in the weeds and skip all the chatter on the variables involved. Just how many miles do you typically get per tank full?

Same here on the miles per tank when running hard and same the fuel gauge pattern as you stated. Our xp4 gets better (obviously) mpg with easy timber rides in that 18-20mpg range (always hand calcs using fuelly app).

This really depends on particular factors
  • G2 or G4, the G4 is heavier so not likely to be as fuel efficient
  • Tire size, I run 32” Tensors
  • Primary Clutch weights, I run the Dalton’s which are setup for 32” tires
  • ECU? Stock vs aftermarket, I run the Gilomen retuned ECU
  • With four passengers, their luggage, spare parts, tools, (2) 3 gallon Rotopax gas cans, (1) 1 gallon water Rotopax can, a medium sized cooler and a full size 32” tire, I’m heavy. It makes a difference.
  • Tire pressure, I run 6psi tops (which I can because I have beadlocks)
On a trip down here which entails a variety of terrains (soft dirt, hard pack, ruts, beach sand, big hills and plain ole nasty stuff) I figure around 100 miles per tank. It’s Mexico so you never know about the fuel availability or the quality so when you see a gas station.....filler up Amigo!!!!!

Again, when you’re figuring fuel range remember the above factors

Same as the rest, rolling in Mountain, WI I think I was around 140 and had 2 gal left. But also depends on how full you fill it of course but I'm kind of impressed with the mileage on my 22. Lots of variables in there like everyone said, I just carry a RotoPax 3 gal with me J/I/C. 👍 (by the way, first big ride out in my 22, had to help someone in need for fuel and made me happy I had it. ❤)
